We installed this custom built locally sourced Kiln Dried Elm fireplace over the existing unit thus avoiding the messy expensive removal and all done within half a day (4 hours).

The marble hearth specified by the customer was an optional extra as was the electric fire insert.

A gas unit could equally be installed.

This is Not a flat pack kit you have to install yourself.

Timber is one of the most ecologically friendly building materials available. When wood is growing, huge amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere are absorbed by day, and clean oxygen released overnight. The carbon dioxide remains 'locked up' in the timber until it is burned or returns to the natural cycle. Our timber is grown locally in Scotland reducing our carbon footprint. The use of timber stimulates the forestry trade which responds by planting more trees.
